Dr. Karen S. McCoy earned her M.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, her Internship and Residency in Pediatrics at North Carolina Memorial and she completed her Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease from Arizona Health Science Center. Dr. McCoy is a Physician at Nationwide Children’s Hospital- Ohio State University, Chief of the Division of Pulmonary Medicine, and a Professor of Pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. McCoy is the Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center and has funded a research and development program. She is the co-PI of the CFF-funded Research and Development Program at Nationwide Children’s and the Ohio State University. She manages patients with Cystic Fibrosis and Pediatric Asthma and her research interest revolves around clinical outcomes and trials in Cystic Fibrosis and Asthma. She is a recipient of the career contribution award and the Castle Golden Stethoscope Award. Dr. McCoy was named Best Doctors in America by Castle Connolly. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
