Joan Grady MA, CCC-SLP, received her undergraduate degree at New Paltz, her Masters at Columbia University, with a full 2 year paid scholarship. Ms. Joan G. Grady is a Speech-Language Pathologist in Westchester & Putnam Counties with special training and skill in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive, communication, swallowing, and neurological disorders arising from illness, injury, deficiency, congenital birth defects and brain trauma.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, Joan G. Grady, MA CCC-SLP,’s caseload has included remediation of cognition, fluency, production, and receptive/expressive language disorders which included training in basic sign language as well as designing and programming assistive communication devices and training her caseload in the use of alternative assistive communication devices as appropriate.

In addition to her private practice, Ms. Grady has taught college courses at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, co-scripted & participated in a training film for the Speech Department at the University of Pittsburgh, co-authored & presented a paper at Closing the Gap’s 1st conference in assistive technology for the disabled.

She has over 50 years experience. During her career she has supervised students from around the country and been employed by many hospitals and Rehabilitation Centers for children and adults.
