Holbrook, New York- Dr. Maxwell A. Helfgott is President at Eye Physicians of Washington. He is a 3rd generation Doctor and 2nd generation Ophthalmologist. He specializes in Ophthalmology, anterior segment eye surgery, including cataract, cornea, glaucoma and refractive surgery. Dr. Helfgott was Chief Resident Washington Hospital Center in 1976 and Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Washington Hospital Center from 1995-2010.
Dr. Helfgott was born in Washington, DC. He received his M.D. from George Washington University, his Internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital, NYC and completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at Washington Hospital Center.
