Dr. Patty Young earned her M.D. at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1987. She completed her general surgery residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland. Her residency was followed by a two-year research fellowship in wound healing at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She then completed her plastic surgery residency at Barnes Hospital/Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, MO., and an additional year of fellowship training in peripheral nerve surgery/microvascular surgery. Dr. Young is a well-respected plastic and reconstructive surgeon. She is the founder of Premier Plastic Surgery of Texas. She performs both cosmetic and complex reconstructive procedures, including all types of cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, peripheral nerve reconstruction, and microvascular surgery. Dr. Young is one of the few surgeons who perform brachial plexus reconstruction. Her goal is to enhance the quality of life of her patients from both and aesthetic and functional standpoint. Dr. Young was named Most Compassionate Doctor and Doctor of the Year. She is a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgery; The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Texas Medical Association.
