Jimia D. Walker earned her Master’s in Child Development at Concordia University, a Master’s in Education Development at FIU and a Bachelors in Elementary Education at Southern Illinois University. She is Executive Director/ Owner at Meaningful Milestones, a daycare center with preschool, and pre-k children 6 weeks of age to 6 years. Jimia oversees the entire operation, hiring, training, parent education, outreach to parents and the community. She has been nominated for a Golden Apple Award for Teaching Capacity; at the Vegas Education 2.0 Conference she received an Outstanding Leadership Award. Jimia is a member of Pretty Girls Pray and is a volunteer at the Women and Children, 6th District Police Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, poetry, and the outdoors.

Sandy is Executive Director at Ours to Service House of Hospitality, located at 525 Mississippi Ave., N.W., in Bemidji, Minnesota. She specializes in leadership, education and public speaking. It is a temporary shelter and supportive services for families experiencing homelessness. Sandy worked for long term care facilities as Director of Recreational Therapy and Volunteer Services for 30 years and teaches classes to activity professionals. She is a member of the Bemidji Prevention Alliance and Minnesota Statewide Activity Professional. Sandy is married to Peter Hennum with 2 children, Kyle and Kayla. In her free time, she enjoys golf and playing the piano.

During the pandemic, she turned Lash My World into a full service salon adding 8 hair stylists, 1 esthetician specializing in skin care, and a full serviced nail technician. This has more than doubled the amount of members of her team! This salon has been award winning and is continuing to keep up that award winning reputation! Here are a few awards listed: Best Of SLC 2019 Finalist, Best Of SLC 2020 Finalist, A 2020 Best of Salt Lake City Local Business Award Winner, A 2021 Stein Eriksen Lodge Local Selection, Best Of SLC 2021 Finalist, And in 2022 was put in the Salt Lake City Business Hall Of Fame .
