San Diego, California-
Who would believe that when I started in my first kitchen it was at the Shrimp Box in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey in 1979 and that 41 years later I’m still doing what I live for and love. Meeting new people every day and seeing different Cuisines from all over the World. Attending the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park NY in 1981, then getting into the Hotel World which at that time it was Marriott International. My early career with Marriott started in SoCal, meeting Willard Marriott and Bill Jr at the Irvine Marriott back in 1984. Then the Traveling started, these are some of my Hotels/Resort I had worked at: The Plaza Hotel NYC, Arizona Biltmore a Frank Lloyd Wright Fantastic Resort, One and Only Marriott’s Camelback Inn in AZ, Eden Roc Resort and Spa in Miami Beach, Harbor Castle Westin, Toronto, and the best part is the people who you meet along the way. I was Senior Executive Chef for the Minnesota Vikings for their 2018 Season, I spent time working in the Caribbean on the Island of Sint Maarten, working with some great Chefs. I was invited to the Beard House back in 2005 for “Return of the Great North American Chef’s”. I worked at a few Casinos along the way between Oregon and Upstate NY, I belong to some great Charities like March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Awareness and No Kid Goes Hungry. Using local farmers and fisheries and giving back to the Community. The passion is still there like I just graduated last week from School, infectious Energy and teaching and mentoring along the Journey. Maybe I have another Chapter to go, we will have to see. Kitchens are stressful, but if this is what your love and enjoy then there isn’t any stress, just personal pleasure. Enjoying the Interaction with customers and making the dining experiences memorable. Thank you for the Great Memories
