Lindi Dodge Beaty was raised in Southwestern Wyoming and spent half her life there. The “Cowboy Code” which includes Love of God, Love of all creatures (2 and 4 legged), honesty and integrity is still very much a part of her life today. Lindi has always been crafty and artistic, but when she took her first formal art classes at the University of Wyoming then at Eastern Wyoming College, she knew she had been born to PAINT. Lindi took every workshop and art class that she could find in her small world. Fortune smiled on her and she was able to take a couple of art classes at Cornell University. Back in Wyoming she continued attending workshops and taking classes. Lindi’s art career began to advance when she started teaching all manner of art classes at Eastern Wyoming College. She continued to take classes and teach including a semester at Rocky Mountain School of Art in Denver, Colorado. Lindi has her work in several galleries worldwide as well as local and out of state. Lindi’s first love is transparent watercolor. She also works in acrylics, ink and pencil. Her subjects are widely varying. Her paintings have been called “Portraits of Things”. She enjoys working in her unique colorful mosaic style.
