About: Dr. Shafia Memon, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician with more than 15 years of clinical experience dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to children and families. She is currently affiliated with Dyson Pediatrics and focuses on delivering comprehensive primary and preventive pediatric care, with particular interests in healthy habit formation, pediatric mental health, and preventive medicine. Born in London, United Kingdom, and raised in Pakistan, Dr. Memon earned her medical degree from Aga Khan University in Karachi. She relocated to the United States following medical school to pursue advanced training, completing her internship at the University of Illinois in Chicago and her pediatric residency at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Memon is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and an active member of both the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AzAAP). Throughout her career, she has practiced pediatrics in the United States and the United Arab Emirates, gaining valuable international clinical experience. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Memon serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona as a Community Preceptor, where she helps train and mentor medical students. She also holds hospital privileges at Tucson Medical Center (TMC). Deeply committed to child advocacy and community health, she serves as the Medical Champion for the Reach Out and Read program at her clinic and volunteers with Operation Smile. Dr. Memon is passionate about partnering with families to support children’s long-term health and well-being, often utilizing motivational interviewing to help parents and children build sustainable healthy lifestyles. Outside of medicine, she enjoys horseback riding, running, cooking, and traveling with her husband and their three sons. Dr. Memon and her family proudly call Tucson, Arizona, their home, where she is honored to care for families in the community she loves.
