About: Dr. Josiah Bolyard is a native of Green Bank, WV. While he was raised in Pocahontas County, Dr. Josiah attended high school in Colorado, graduating as valedictorian of his high school class. After high school, he attended Western Nebraska Community College and received an Associate of Science degree. During his time at WNCC, he played on the men’s soccer team. In 2018, he finished his undergraduate studies at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree with honors. He graduated from the Kentucky College of Optometry (KYCO) with honors in 2022. As a graduating student from KYCO, he received the “VSP Global Private Practice Award”, based on academic achievement, clinical and patient care, and leadership qualities with a special focus on private practice. Dr. Josiah has been an advocate for paraoptometric advancement and education; he has lectured to paraoptometrics on the state and national level. Dr. Josiah is excited for the opportunity to practice in his native West Virginia. He is married to his wife, Jayna. The couple has a young daughter, Joan. He enjoys spending his free time fishing, golfing, and reading.
