About: If we’re going to work together, I want you to know who I am—not just as a counselor, but as a person shaped by loss, resilience, faith, a deep desire to help others heal. My father died when I was three, growing up in a military family taught me how to adapt, connect, build relationships wherever life placed me. I later discovered my calling in psychology at San Diego State University, earning advanced degrees in both psychology theology dedicating my career to helping couples strengthen communication rebuild connection. My life has not been without hardship—surviving stage III colon cancer in 2000 losing my wife of 46 years in a tragic accident in 2013—but through every valley, I chose faith over bitterness purpose over despair. These experiences allow me to sit with others not only as a professional, but as someone who has lived through grief, healing, hope—and who believes deeply in the possibility of restoration.
