She is a graduate of the Famous Writers School, Westport, CT in 1967, The Newspaper Institute of America in New York, the Denis Waitley School of Dynamic Winning in 1969 and the American Association of Christian Counselors in 2001. Penny Johnson (Pen Name) is a Free-Lance Writer/ Poet and Song Lyricist (Patriot and Gospel songs). She was named the Most Admired Woman of the Decade, International Woman of the Year in Cambridge, England and Woman of the Year. She has 30 Editor’s Choice Awards and is listed in International Who’s Who of Intellectuals, America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals, Who’s Who in the World and received the American Medal of Honor for Outstanding Contributions to the Arts and Poetry, 2002-03. Dr. Johnson received an Outstanding Love Award from Meadowbrook Nursing Home. She was also named Poet of the Year in 2020. Ms. Johnson’s mentor is Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. She has a song release named “America” with Hilltop Records in 2005 and the song “Christmas Is” written by Dr. Johnson on the Album “Glory of Christmas,” which was released in December 2008. She also has a poem “Our Lives Are But A Whisper” that was included in International Who’s Who of Poets. Ms. Johnson has been included in the 500 Greatest Genius Laureates of the 21st Century. She is married to William Evan Johnson, Sr. and has two children, William Evan, Jr. and Robert Anthony, Dr. Johnson also has two grandchildren, April Michelle and Christian Robert. Michele A. Bouie is a Clinical Informatics Specialist with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Charleston, South Carolina, a Toastmasters member, certified VA Mentor, and a Whole Health Coach and Fit Stylist with Essential Bodywear. Michele has worked in healthcare Administration all her adult life. She is a military brat and spouse of an Air Force Veteran and loves working for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Serving our Nations Veterans is her greatest honor. Her position outside of the federal government job is as a Fit Stylist with Essential Bodywear and it gives her immense satisfaction helping women with positive body image regardless of size or shape. Michele is also a certified VA mentor and Whole Health Life Coach. Both roles give her the opportunity to help people from all walks of life with positive options for self-care and success.
