Dr. Maxwell A. Helfgott was born in Washington, DC. He received his M.D. from George Washington University, his Internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital, NYC and completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at Washington Hospital Center. He is President at Eye Physicians of Washington. He is a 3rd generation Doctor and 2nd generation Ophthalmologist. He specializes in Ophthalmology, anterior segment eye surgery, including cataract, cornea, glaucoma and refractive surgery. Dr. Helfgott was Chief Resident Washington Hospital Center in 1976 and Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Washington Hospital Center from 1995-2010. He is Past President of the Washington DC Ophthalmologic Society and member of the Med Star Washington Hospital Center and the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Rose E. Baker attended College of the Redwoods for Social Services and Parenting Skills. She earned a Kline Fay Institute Certificate and has taken 5 Nurse courses. She is CEO of Youth Ability Inc./Parents in Training Inc. and works with homeless youth and recovery, foster care and adopted care. Rose runs a non-profit thrift store, with training sessions for youth teaching them work ethic, resumes and to be independent. At Parents in Training Resource Center, she teaches parenting classes to get children back from foster care, court issues, classes, youth mental health, crisis intervention, economics, saving, cooking, and artwork. Joan Grady MA, CCC-SLP, received her undergraduate degree at New Paltz, her Masters at Columbia University, with a full 2 year paid scholarship. Ms. Joan G. Grady is a Speech-Language Pathologist in Westchester & Putnam Counties with special training and skill in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive, communication, swallowing, and neurological disorders arising from illness, injury, deficiency, congenital birth defects and brain trauma.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, Joan G. Grady, MA CCC-SLP,’s caseload has included remediation of cognition, fluency, production, and receptive/expressive language disorders which included training in basic sign language as well as designing and programming assistive communication devices and training her caseload in the use of alternative assistive communication devices as appropriate.
In addition to her private practice, Ms. Grady has taught college courses at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, co-scripted & participated in a training film for the Speech Department at the University of Pittsburgh, co-authored & presented a paper at Closing the Gap’s 1st conference in assistive technology for the disabled.

Liz Joachim received an Associate in Business at Gulf Park College. She is a Wholesale and Vending Machine Owner at Corso, Inc. Her father started the business 98 years ago, her daughter runs the vending, micro-markets, store, casinos, and school, and her middle son does the computers, cell phones, and radio. Her other son buys wholesale products and gets the trucks out. They sell cigarettes, tobacco, candy, drinks, sandwich meals, cookies, pens, and pencils. Liz is on the Peoples Bank Board and is a Board Member of the Tulane Gulf Coast University, Merit Health Biloxi, Biloxi First, Gulf Coast Carnival Association, Ohr O’Keefe Museum, Salvation Army, and Gulf Coast Business Council Masters Program and Legislative Committees. She has numerous awards including the 1996 Biloxi Outstanding Citizen, 1985 First Lady of Biloxi, 1986 Biloxi Mother of the Year, 1998 Keys to the City of Biloxi, 1993 American Tobacco Company First Lady Award, The Sun Herald South Mississippi’s Outstanding Community Leaders, Class of 2010, Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce Pat Santucci Sprit of the Gulf Coast Award, American Red Cross 2016 Humanitarian of the Year, and the MGCCC Sam Owen Award 2019 Homecoming Honoree. In her free time, she enjoys walking.
