Dr. Zoltan Mari graduated first in his medical school class in Hungary before completing a post-doctoral fellowship at SUNY Downstate (Brooklyn, NY) on Parkinson’s disease (PD) animal models and electrophysiology. After his clinical fellowships in both movement disorders and clinical neurophysiology at NIH, he joined Johns Hopkins University faculty, where he was promoted to Associate Professor and then appointed to serve as Director of the PD & Movement Disorder Division and Center, which has grown markedly under his leadership, including many successful hires and establishing a DBS Center and a clinical fellowship program. After his tenure at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Mari joined the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas, NV in May 2017, where he leads the PD and Movement Disorders Program, as The Ruvo Family Chair for PD & Movement Disorders Research. Dr. Mari is a renowned expert in PD and movement disorders clinical research and the endowment funds will enable him to study novel remote monitoring technologies, biomarkers, and disease modification. Dr. Mari has published 120 peer-reviewed papers, authored multiple book chapters, and created nationally recognized CME programs. He is a co-founder of Neuraly, Inc. which is developing a revolutionary disease-modifying treatment for PD.

Dr. Cristina Nevarez obtained her M.D at the Universidad Central de Caribe School of Medicine, Graduating Medical School with Honors, her Residency at the University of Puerto Rico and her Fellowship was at Veteran’s Hospital in San Juan. She is in a private practice in Gurabo and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Nevarez specializes in Geriatric Medicine for healthy living in older adults and Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Geriatric Society and on the Faculty at Hima Hospital.

Dr. John B. Barringer OD, FAAO earned his O.D. at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1977, his internship was completed at U.S. Army Fort Hood. He is an Optometrist at Ardmore Optometry Service Vision Source, located at 717 12th Street Northwest, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He is A.B.O. certified as a Laser Vision Correction Surgeon. Dr. Barringer specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of eye diseases, conditions, and problems. They use advanced diagnostic technology and vision correction products and are committed to improving the quality of life of persons in the Ardmore community through enhanced vision. Dr. Barringer was a Captain in the US Army 2nd Armored Division. He is a Board Member of the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a Member Oklahoma Optometric Association. Dr. Barringer enjoys managing his ranch in his spare time. When he is not riding horses to work his cattle, he can be found riding his Softail Harley Davidson in the great state of Oklahoma.

Eustace S. Lewis was born in Liberta Village, Antiqua, West Indies. He earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management at Capella University. He also earned a PhD in Health Administration and Policy from Walden University. Currently, he is an Instructional Systems Specialist at the Medical Education and Training Campus, a U.S. Dept. of Defense integrated campus. He has been in the Medical Education field since 2003 and has been teaching Anatomy and Physiology since then. He specializes in healthcare education and instructional systems. Dr. Lewis Instituted a bridge program with Arapaho College, Thomas Edison State College, and University of Incarnate Word to provide undergraduate degrees to Military Occupational Specialty programs. He also rallied the House of Representatives on education issues. He was in the Educators Hall of Fame. Dr. Lewis is Author of “Impact of Consolidated Training on Organizational Performance in Tri-Service Medical Training”. He is a member of the National School Board Association, 100 Black Men in America, Blacks in Government, National Association of Health Executives, and the National Association of Black School Educators. Dr. Lewis has been quoted as saying “Do What You Can While You Can”. In his free time, he enjoys reading, bowling, and mentoring others.

Clinton O, Gowan Jr. graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree, while completing his requirements sheet metal journeyman then general superintendent. Both of these led me to become a one-third owner with my father and brother of Gowan sheet metal. I became an officer in the local Contractors. That led me to become the National (SMACNA) President after serving as chairman of committees. For twelve years I was a trustee of the sheet metal national pension fund Ten of them as co-chairmen, and while serving I was designated as the trustee to resolve their legal problems. My next major opportunity to serve was when I agreed to become the Management representative working with the GP of the union as we led our organizations to become the parties to the lawsuit against the asbestos industry which ended up with the 30 Billion settlement fund. Our job included setting up the distribution process. As a surprise to me, I was honored by Steve Forbes at a February 1987 national banquet as a finalist in one of his publications as Man of the Year.
