Over the years he has participated with the Delaware Optometric Association and Northeastern Maryland Optometric Society. He participated in Model Cities Program from 1975-1978. He was a staff optometrist at the Medical Center of Delaware from 1979-1985. He was appointed by the governor to the Optometric Institutional Aid Advisory Committee for the State of Delaware from 1977-1995. He received a certificate of Appreciation from the Lion’s Club of Delaware in 1994; the VSP Certification of Participation from America’s Promise: The Alliance for Youth Program in 1997; an honored member of Who’s Who Among Outstanding Americans from 1994-1996. He has done visual screenings for the Special Olympics and Health Fairs. Dr. Stromwasser continues to fulfill his continuing education requirements for licensure and is licensed for therapeutic pharmaceutical agents in the State of Delaware.
