Over the course of 23 years, he earned recognition as a provider with the largest HIV/AIDS population on the East Coast between New York and Miami.

Renowned for his philanthropic work, Dr. Jemsek established the Jemsek CHARM project in 2003, dedicated to the care of the HIV/AIDS community. In 2009, he received the North Carolina Certificate of Appreciation Award from Governor James Hunt in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field of HIV/AIDS. This prestigious award is the highest civilian honor in the state, given on a merit basis.

While in the Charlotte area, Dr. Jemsek concurrently specialized in both HIV/AIDS and LBC. Eventually, he transitioned entirely to focusing on patients suffering from LBC. In early 2010, he relocated his practice to Washington, D.C. As a recognized authority on Tick-Borne Illness, Dr. Jemsek now treats patients from across the United States and numerous countries, with an estimated total of over 14,000 patients to date. His extensive knowledge and experience in LBC have made him a sought-after lecturer and a respected voice in the field. Dr. Jemsek’s passion lies in providing care to marginalized populations and publishing his findings to advance the recognition and understanding of LBC and Tick-Borne illnesses as distinct disciplines within the medical field.
