Dr. Jenifer L. Marks received her M.D. at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She then completed her fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center with a focus on general thoracic surgery. Her interest areas include lung and esophageal cancer and other malignancies of the thoracic cavity. She is highly experienced in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, including thoracoscopic and robotic thoracic surgery. Dr. Marks received awards for Excellence in Research from the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer during her training. She has co-authored 20+ publications, chapters, and abstracts and has done presentations nationally and internationally. She is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and Co-chair for Sarah Cannon National Thoracic Work Group.
