Joey R. Preston earned his Bachelor’s in Political Science and Psychology in 1986 from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte. He graduated from Harvard University JFK School of Government’s State/Local Government Program in 2001 and the Richard W. Riley Diversity Leadership Academy in 2004. In 2005, he earned a Master’s Certificate in Public Administration from Clemson University.

 

Due to his many accomplishments, Preston was featured as “County Leader in the Year” in the July 2002 edition of American City & County Magazine. He currently serves as the CEO and County Administrator of Bamberg County, South Carolina.

 

Additionally, Preston serves as a member of the Government Finance Officers Association, American Planning Association, South Carolina Economic Development Association, American Public Works Association, and the American Society of Public Administration.
